Dr Kumar is a highly qualified specialist. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Delhi University, India. Following that, she worked in the United Kingdom at the University College Hospital, London and received her membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) qualification. She moved to Australia in 2005 and trained across numerous hospitals in Melbourne before receiving her fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) certification in 2009. Dr. Kumar has acquired extensive experience in the speciality over this time and the variety of exposure has enriched her skills.

Dr. Kumar is also a highly qualified academic at Monash University. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education (GCHPE) from Monash University. She also completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in “Interprofessional education using simulation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology” from Monash University. She is the Director of Educational Innovation and Research in Women’s Health at Monash University. Dr. Jun Shen graduated from medical school with an M.D. degree in 1998. He was then awarded a Ph.D. from Howard Flory Medical Institute in the University of Melbourne in 2004. He underwent physician and oncology specialist training at Monash Health, Austin Health, and Alfred Hospital.

Dr. Shen completed a Fellowship in Royal Australian College of Physician in 2011, after which he has established himself as a Medical Oncologist in South Eastern Oncology, St John of God Berwick Hospital and Peninsula Private Hospital.

He is an active member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and European Society for Medical Oncology.

Dr. Shen also works at Peninsula Health and has a broad range of experience in nearly all tumour types, including Gastroenterology, breast, lung and prostate cancers.

Dr Chong works in the hospital as the Medical Lead in GEM at home, a service that provides geriatric assessment and rehabilitation for older patients at home. She also provides care for older people in complex care clinic and with aged care assessment service (ACAS).

She is passionate in improving the health and quality of life for her patients, advocating for her patients including helping them to stay at home. Her strengths are providing complex care for patients in the community including managing polypharmacy, cognitive impairment, falls and balance, chronic wound care.
