About Dandenong Superclinic

We were formerly Dandenong Surgery, established in 1984. Our doctors continue to uphold high professional standards and to deliver patient focused, quality care.

We engage qualified and trained medical professionals who demonstrate a commitment to continued medical education. Some of our doctors are also educators who teach and train aspiring young professionals.

Appointments

All consultations with our doctors are by appointment only. However, patients with urgent medical problems without an appointment will be accommodated and attended to promptly.

Longer consultation times and an interpreter service are available to all patients, so please enquire or inform us when you make your appointment.

Online bookings are available at Dandenong Superclinic. You will be able to make a booking with the doctor of your choice at a time that suits you without the hassle of a phone call. 

We provide Australian Made hand sanitiser at your appointment for Covid Safe. 

Communication Policy

In response to Covid-19, our Doctors now offer TeleHealth consultations. Please book ONLINE and select “Telephone Consultations”.

In the case of medical emergencies or urgent circumstances, please call 000.

We may use electronic means (SMS or email) to remind about appointments, inform of any delays or issue recalls and reminders. We advise that there are risks associated with electronic communications – the information could be intercepted or read by someone other than the intended recipient. Please inform us if you DO NOT wish to receive electronic communication.

Fees

Dandenong Superclinic bulk-bills patients with valid Medicare cards. Patients without Medicare cards will incur consultation fees – you will be advised at time of check-in or consultation. Fees may be charged in some instances for certain procedures and you will be advised at time of check-in or consultation. Fees are due and payable at the time of consultation. We accept cash, credit card and EFTPOS payments. Electronic Medicare claiming is available via secure internet connection for patients who have paid their private accounts.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please speak to your doctor at the time of your consultation.

Home Visits

Home visits are available for regular patients of the clinic, within 5km, who are unable to attend because of their medical condition. Visits can also be arranged for practice patients in nursing homes and retirement villages in the vicinity. Consultation fees may be incurred.

Medical Students

Dandenong Superclinic works with Monash University and Chilsolm Institute/La Trobe University as a teaching practice for medical and nursing students. You may be asked if you are willing for a medical or nursing student to be present at your consultation. We appreciate your support in the education of our medical and nursing students – however, if you wish for privacy – please let us know.

Personal Health Information

All medical records are treated confidentially and pursuant to the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988. Only authorised staff are able to access these records.

Prescriptions, Referrals and Results

It is practice policy that appointments should be made for repeat prescriptions, referrals and follow up of test results.

We are committed to provide you quality medical care.

If you are unhappy with our service, please discuss this with us either:

• In writing and mailed to us.

Patient Experience Questionaire

We seek feedback on your experience with our Practice to help us better understand what our patients want and where we can improve processes and systems.

It should take you 10-20 minutes to complete.

Some important points:

• You do not have to complete the questionnaire if you do not wish to
• The questionnaire is confidential and anonymous
• Your care at the practice will not be affected if you do not participate
• Your care at the practice will not be affected by the answers you give
• We would like you to answer all the questions in the questionnaire
• There is no right or wrong answer; it is your opinion that is important to us

Your privacy is important to us and the following measures will be in place for questionnaires returned to us by email:

• Numerical data from your survey responses will be extrapolated to a Data Response Table
• Other than patient demographic relating to Age, Gender, ATSI status, Language, Concession Cards, number of visits, Level of Education – no personal information such as name, address or date of birth will be extracted
• Your survey response will be saved with all your personal information removed, and the email you send will be deleted.
